Notes vs Twitter

Hello, comrades! I'm DrEagleTalon, and this is Vantage Point, where I give you the truth about politics, economics, and culture from a socialist perspective.
Today, I want to talk to you about a new feature that Substack has launched: Notes. Notes is a way for writers and readers to share short-form content and ideas, like posts, quotes, comments, images, and links. It's kind of like Twitter, but without the censorship, harassment, bots, trolls, ads, misinformation, and Elon Musk.
You see, Twitter has been trying to silence journalists and Substack writers who dare to challenge the status quo and expose the corruption and hypocrisy of the ruling class. They have blocked likes, retweets, and comments on tweets that contain Substack links. They have throttled and banned accounts that criticize their policies and practices. They have even suspended me for calling Elon Musk a capitalist pig who exploits workers and destroys the environment.
But Substack is different. Substack is a platform that respects free speech and supports independent writers. Substack lets writers own their audience and their content. Substack pays writers directly from subscriptions, not from ads or sponsors. Substack does not interfere with editorial decisions or censor unpopular opinions. Substack is a subscription network that fosters deep connections and quality over shallow engagement and dopamine hacks.
That's why I love Substack, and that's why I'm excited about Notes. Notes will allow me to share more of my thoughts and insights with you, my loyal readers. Notes will also allow me to discover and recommend other great writers on Substack who share my values and vision. Notes will create a vibrant community of thinkers and creators who are not afraid to speak their minds and challenge the dominant narratives.
So if you want to join me on this journey of learning and growing together, subscribe to my Substack today. You'll get access to all my notes, newsletters, podcasts, videos, and more. You'll also get to interact with me and other like-minded people in the comments section. And you'll be supporting independent journalism that is not beholden to corporate interests or political agendas.
Substack is the future of online writing. Twitter is the past. Don't let them silence you. Let your voice be heard. Join me on Substack Notes today.
My Notes
I just published my first note on Substack Notes, and would love for you to join me there!
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like work-in-progress or quick questions.
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Vantage Point with DrEagleTalon , you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of Vantage Point with DrEagleTalon can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
